Re: Silver Creek
Moon bounded down to the waters edge and playfully chased after an otter who had been making a river den. Not bothering to chase much further, the she wolf bounded back to her mate with a play bow asking him to play with her.
Re: Silver Creek
Shade trotted behind his mate with a calm mind that today would be another plentiful and active day for the both of them. As they approached the creek, Moon had left him for an otter. He chuckled as he stood there watching the two species play chase: prey vs predator. When she returned and bowed in play, he returned to gesture instantly as instinct kicked in. "Let's play!" He barked. The dark pelt male bolted to the side then the other and again to the other. He wanted her to chase him.

Re: Silver Creek
Moon jumped at him in a playful bark ready to chase him as she bounded up the creek side and into cold water. Turning back towards him she made it her goal to get him wet. "Get ready for a water bomb", She barked playfully.
Re: Silver Creek
Shade bolted around thinking she was going to chase him but she went for the creek, splashing around before looking at him with one goal. "You have to catch me first!" He replied, wagging his tail in play bow.

Re: Silver Creek
"You be I will!", She barked back as she bounded through the rivers edge to chase after him. Even though it was still early morning the young alpha was beginning to tire when she found herself panting heavily. "Alright shade, I think I've had enough. I'm thirsty."
Re: Silver Creek
The Male chuckled at her words. He knew her stamina wasn't on par like his was. At the sound of a drink though, he nodded and trotted his way to the edge of the stream for a drink. The cool water refreshed him and he looked around, on guard as his soul mate took a drink, running his tongue along his jaw as he did so.

Re: Silver Creek
Moon was pleased that the morning turned out to be fun rather than all business. She sat down panting for a few seconds be for moving to the water and lapping at the cool liquid. She laid herself down to cool off as the sun continues to rise in the east. "What's the game plan today, Shade?"
Re: Silver Creek
The Male perked his ears at her question. "We should patrol the area." He suggested. "We haven't done so in a few days. Who knows who's dared to enter our borders." He was a protector, on a mission to keep his only love safe from rogues.

Re: Silver Creek
Moon let out a low growl of discontent in thought of rogue wolves trespassing on her lengthy territory. Although Shade was very protective of her she knew the ropes of offensive and defensive strategy. Regardless, She would not be the one to attack first unless it meant her life or the well being of her pack especially pups. "I have forgotten about that. I'll follow you to the border", She replied as she got to her feet and met at his shoulder to follow him.
Re: Silver Creek
Shade licked Moon on her nose before leading the way. He would know where to go first. He wanted to check the hunting grounds to see if anyone had gone there to look for food. They had recently been to the area but that didn't mean someone hadn't invaded and taken advantage while they slept.

Re: Silver Creek
Moon followed close behind shade as she hoped that the patrol would be uneventful. Moon was strict with trespassers but her kind heart kept her at bay from bloodshed. She joked a bit with last night's run. "I wore you out and yet you still want to go back for another round."
Re: Silver Creek
Shade turned his left ear to hs mates words as they made their way to Moonlight Meadows. "We have a large territory, Moon." He explained. "And we had run most of the way over your idea of a game of chase." He wondered if she would try to twist his words or remember her so called torture. His paws were still sore from it all this morning but he knew his duties to keep them safe.

Re: Silver Creek
Moons ears fell back slightly and she ran to lick Shade's maw in submission. She looked down at the ground whilst keeping the alphas pace wandering what to say for an apology. "I'm sorry", She said with regret and held back from saying anything more.
