The Secret Passege Empty Re: The Secret Passege

Post by Moonacre Tue Aug 27, 2019 9:21 am

Moon smiled at her mate's reassurance as she turned onward down the leafy pathway. The forest was green and to the wolf's contentment, quite calming. Something about this particular area set her mind, still racing with questions, at ease. She was greatful for that. "Kanu, do you see anything yet? Perhaps a quick rest? I'm still from the lion fight." She hated when she complained but moon really was tired.

The stranger continued to follow the trio even down the path toward the ravine and through the secret passage. His curiosity about the wolves and why they were drifting far off course from their territory intrigued him to tail. Cautiously, however, he kept his distance to avoid any detection. His coat after all didn’t blend well with the new beautiful forest background.

His mind swimming with restless thoughts about the new threat, Shade paused next to Moon as she spoke out to Kanu who paused a few paces ahead of them. "You should come see this." He yelled back to them. Shade snorted and trotted his way down the winding path till he matched the fellow Alphas shoulder with his own. "What is it?" He asked, but as he looked, his question was already answered. "This place..." it was an overlook of a small Valley that dipped down from the surrounding hills. An open area, but hidden by all the foliage. Shade even found the path that had taken seemed to be the only way in or out. "Moon, come and see." He wagged his tail, looking back at her with a gentle smile.

Curiosity was still on Murrok’s mind as he crept closer and closer to the spot where the three wolves overlooked the beautiful scenery that any animal would die to see the secret. Of course, the black male couldn’t see what they were viewing but he had plenty with the surrounding trees and flowers. This can’t be a pack... can it be? If so, this can’t be their territory...

Moon bounded forward ears forward and alert when the saw Shade turned to her with a relaxed smile. "What is it?", She replied and looked into a hidden valley. Moon's eyes shined with wonder of what could be down there. Without hesitation she knew. "Shade, I think this is it."

Shade chuckled. "We should explore a bit more in this area...make sure it has all we need." He advised. Kanu nodded on the other side of Shade. "I will make rounds near the entrance." He said, turning to head back down the hidden pathway. Shaded nodded in affirmation before turning back to Moon. "Let's see if we can find some water." He felt thirsty from the journey they had had today.

Moon whimpered with excitement as she bounded forward. She knew her mate would agree to her judgement. Still she wondered to herself weather or not theyed succeed in their findings. But for now, she found calm in the assurance of the hidden valley. Her excitement was hard to contain as she bounded down the pathway not worried of what could be in the area.

Murrok was as silent as a shadow could be. He remained low to the ground and studied the three wolves as they discussed and started move around. Such a different pack than I last remember...

Shade watched Kanu trot back the way they had come. Once he was out of view, Shade trotted his way down into the valley. This was a winding path of it's own, branching off into different directions. That was definitely useful. Still...the thought came to him about what predators were in the area. "Be careful." He called out to Moon. "We don't know who else may have found this place."

Hearing her mate's calls out to her the wolf trotted back to her mate and sat for a moment catching her breathe. Shade was right about warning her. This valley was unknown territory and she knew well that in a place like this you never know what's out there. "Maybe you should lead the way", She replied back.

The Male nipped Moon on her shoulder after he caught up with her. "Let's see if we can find some water." He suggested. "Then we can start scentmarking." He wished they had more pack members to cover more ground, but what could he do? "Maybe we should also search for other loners to make a pact with us." He added as he took the lead.

The Secret Passege Empty Re: The Secret Passege

Getting bolder, Murrok had been actually following the couple almost the entire time since they left the area and explored more of the valley. He was simply curious about the pair. The black wolf's eyes focused on Shade particularly. So... that must be the alpha male. Murrok came to that conclusion by how he witnessed Shade dominate around Moon. He studied them more closely. She's not reacting negatively. I guess they're mates...

Moon blushed at Shade's affection towards her and she padded forward at his side. Moon scented the air and caught the scent of fresh water as she noted shade's replies. "Shade I think we should scout the area first to make sure it has not yet been claimed." The she-wolf also noticed a faint scent in the air but not enough to put her on alert. She still thought it best to notify Shade for no surprises. "I think someone has been here before. My thought as to why we need to be very careful out here."

Shade nodded. "Stay close then. We can scout side by side." At the mention of a presence, Shade said nothing for he had the feeling too. "I'm sure they would have done something already if they were hostile." He said smartly as he led the way further into the valley. In his deep mind, however, Shade was nervous. Could their enemy be here too?

The Secret Passege Empty Re: The Secret Passege

Post by Murrok Thu Sep 12, 2019 6:49 am

Murrok even questioned his intentions of being with the trio in the first place, following them all of the way to this strange and secretive place. It was beautiful and unlike anything in the surrounding territories. Maybe he was curious about why different colored wolves traveled together or maybe he was lonely and seeking for a pack to join? Whatever the case had been, he continued to tail them and kept himself out of their sight. Unfortunately, however, the longer he lingered nearby the more his scent spread.

Moon nodded in agreement to Shade's remark. She found herself at ease that they would stay together. As she stood to follow him on patrol, the stranger's scent seemed to be getting stronger. Shade's remark on not to worry only made the concern a lot stronger. Moon was forced to consider a territorial howl weather shade agreed to it or not.

At Moons howl, shade tilted his head. He had felt the presence of another but he thought it was instinct. The Male himself had the feeling they had been followed. Shade joined in on the music, howling his own tune. "Come on out." He would say through his tune.

Murrok's ears hearkened at the sound of the trio's howls and he raised his head, looking around quickly. After the male heard the other to emerge from his hiding spot, Murrok complied and slowly came out of his spot, which actually wasn't that far from where they standing. Once they took a look at him, he was quite large and dark in appearance with piercing, yellow eyes. He didn't say anything.

Moon kept quiet for a moment as she studied the surpsingly quiet black wolf. Though large for his size, moon was not fazed and kept herself composed whilst she sat waiting for the wolf to say something. She seemed rather impatient but she still held her ground with much composer.
